Haikus de Outlander
I finally broke down and took a trip to Scotland, curious if the adventure was everything the people said it was. I have learned several things, the two most important are :
YES the Scottish accent totally works for me (I blame David Tennant for the spark on this one), and
I prefer highlands scruff to primped up and floofy Frenchmen in knickers
For some reason the haiku form was my inspiration for this Outlander tribute … I’m only in season two so who knows what artistic expression will strike next. I’m not gonna lie, the little knitted capelets and gloves are TOO CUTE and despite living in LA where I will never need it I may make an attempt at creating one. Wish me luck.
Things used to be hard
Sneaky, muddy lovemaking
No thank you old times
What’s under the kilt?
It’s cold outside, I worry
Naked booty chill
The chin can’t be real
Sculpted from marble and scruff
Gaston would envy
A Scottish accent
Whispering into your ear
Closed eyes required
One man back in time
Another gazing at you
Two rings on two hands
A timeless asshole
They have always been around
Now they wear red hats
Want to ride horses
Those red locks in the cool breeze
I smell fresh green grass
Let’s take you to bed
The fire will burn all night long
I’ll share my fur pelt
The first three seasons of Outlander are on Netflix! Check it out and let me know if your quarandreams get a little steamier …
