I Made a Trailer For SON OF STARS

Don’t tell me it’s a stretch to imagine this man as God…

I am currently querying my third novel, a historical sci-fi romance based on the life and death of Jesus Christ…yet written by an atheist and reformed Catholic.

Am I open to having a book many will use for kindling outside libraries? If it is in the company of Handmaid’s Tale and Girls Who Code - BRING IT!

In ancient Jerusalem, Joshua is the son of an amazing woman seduced by an alien posing as a Roman Centurion, and raised by her gay husband, Joseph. Once an adult, rumors of his miraculous birth resurface, and Joshua is thrust into the limelight by a local noblewoman, Mary Magdalene. After falling in love with Judas, Joshua finds himself in a complicated love triangle with a man who will eventually betray him in a jealous rage. Torn between the love for his pregnant partner and the prophecy that points him toward a bloody death, Joshua continues his rise to greatness as he comes to terms with his inevitable departure.

Since it can be a bit tough to wrap your head around, imagine Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Jesus, Jason Momoa as his alien father, Lakeith Stanfield as Judas, Tom Hardy as Pontius Pilate, and Zendaya as Mary Magdalene. Sprinkle in Andrew Garfield, Mae Martin, Lil Nas X, and Dev Patel and we have a pretty exciting group of apostles.

Here’s the trailer I made to give you an idea of the vibe:

So if you are an agent or publisher or just someone who really, really wants to read this book please feel free to hit me up in the email form and I’ll get back to you! Or why not join my email list, and when the book is coming out I can let you know? Yes, I said WHEN and not IF because I think this book deserves to see the light of day…if for no other reason than to start a few conversations about how religion is (unfortunately) often weaponized against marginalized groups.

Ok, hopping off my soap box now to make another cup of coffee.

Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.
